General
Ninja Nerd has a number of in-depth videos about tons of topics. These videos are typically much longer than other resources, but he repeats and quizzes in a sort of Dora the Explorer style which is really helpful when learning complex topics. Personally, I’ve found it to be a great supplement whenever you need to learn in-depth about a difficult topic, but most people don’t rely on him primarily
Block 1
He has videos that go in-depth on the metabolic pathways. These are not completely necessary as they cover with excessive depth, but they’re slow and thorough which can help your total understanding. He also explains ABGs well which you may come across as you’re first learning about laboratory tests. Otherwise, he makes a great supplement for anything else you’re struggling with.
Block 2
In block 2 his videos don’t really stand out, but they make a good supplement whenever needed.
Block 3
Ninja Nerd videos are extremely helpful in block 3. They go very in-depth and he covers many structures individually. This can be very important whenever you’re starting out in neuro as you have a lot of structures thrown at you early on and it can be difficult to figure out what parts of the nervous system do what. Highly recommended as a supplement for block 3 learning, particularly for cranial nerves and general neuroanatomy. The visual pathway video is also excellent.
